Vegetable tanned leather applies tannin, a natural dye, extracted from plants. Our cowhides are immersed several times in vats of increasing concentrations of tannin. This process takes time, but it gives the leather flexibility and resistance to wear and tear.

The colors on our product will darken with daily use and as times goes on it will leave some marks and fine lines that will further enhance our product. This is the beauty of our leather, and it will only get better with age. Like all top quality leathers in the world, natural imperfections are considered leather’s natural beauty and this holds true in our leather.
