Wrubel’s first book of poems began as a challenge from his friend Bethany Walsh. A fan of Wrubel’s writings, Bezdek dared Wrubel to post a poem a day for a year on Instagram. This challenge turned into a posting habit that has now turned into a book. In Wrubel’s mind each poem and haiku is a short beginning chapter in what could be a long form poem. Each poem however is self contained in of itself and is a germinating seed idea. Writing on topics such as sex, dreams, meditation, marriage, disappointment and natural beauty, this first volume will introduce readers to Wrubel’s unique viewpoint and writing style. The inclusion of photographs was inspired by Wrubel’s wife, an Interior Designer who felt that the photos act as a restful pause for the reader. Wrubel is an Arizona based writer who draws inspiration from the intersection of Science, Art, Nature, Psychology and Relationships.
